Kakeibo (家計簿) is basically a 120-year-old life hack from Japan! Created in 1904 by Motoko Hani, Japan's first female journalist, this method helped people get real about their money before apps even existed.

It's all about asking yourself 4 simple questions and actually thinking about where your cash goes. No judgment, no boring spreadsheets, just you and your financial truth. ✨

In 1904, Motoko Hani basically invented financial literacy for women. She gave people the tools to understand their money and take control of their futures. A true pioneer who knew that money knowledge = power!

About the Developer

Hi! I'm inki, the developer and designer behind Kakeibo. With a background in Fine Arts and Visual Communication, my constant drive is to blend creativity, structure, and data analysis to build products that make people's lives genuinely easier. I naturally gravitate towards minimalism, infographics, and intuitive design—principles that turned Kakeibo into a reality. My work is fueled by an ongoing curiosity and a spirit of evolution. In fact, the app was made entirely out of pure love for Japanese culture, language, and philosophy.
